About 250 new jobs expected to come to Garner
A healthcare company plans to move to Garner and create about 250 jobs, Garner Economic Development Director Tony Beasley said.
“We think that that will be the catalyst for other folks to know
that our industrial doors are open and that we’re back here doing
business as usual now,” Beasley said.
The town expects to make an official announcement about the jobs within days.
The company’s plans moved forward after Governor Bev Perdue
signed a law that will not allow the proposed I-540 extension red route
to be built. The red route would have run through Garner, and had
scared away businesses and homebuyers.
“People didn’t want to take the chance of buying a home and then
having the chance of an expressway come right near their home,” said Paul Capps, a local real estate agent.
Capps and city officials are hopeful that potential buyers will return to Garner.

No, I could never replace JJ. I got a email from her today she is finally getting more hours at work and will not have the time to post the jobs anymore.
JJ started this two years ago to keep her hands busy and try to help someone find a job or at least raise moral, I am glad she is finally getting more hours at work!
