Growth bringing 50 jobs to area

•Affiliated Computer jobs could grow by 200 within two years

Computer Services Inc. has announced the expansion of its Ridgeland
operations, creating 50 new permanent full-time jobs in the area, a
number expected to rise to 200 in the next two years.
The jobs
will support the Xerox company's government health care clients across
the country, including the Mississippi Division of Medicaid, according
to a news release from the company. Mississippi Medicaid Executive
Director Robert Robinson said ACS has worked for more than a decade
with the federal-state health insurance program for low income
"We are expanding in Mississippi because the work
force is talented, competitive and has a great work ethic," Will
Saunders, senior vice president and leader, ACS Government Healthcare
Solutions, said in the news release sent out Monday. "ACS has had
success in the state through its Medicaid support and it makes sense
for us to tap deeper into the work force."
Gov. Haley Barbour called the company a "valued corporate citizen in our state."ACS's
decision to expand "shows its ongoing confidence in our state's work
force and our business climate," Barbour is quoted as saying in the
news release
ACS will be recruiting for highly skilled
information technology professionals such as programmers, analysts, and
developers, as well as health care professionals. According to the news
release, many of the positions allow employees to work from home.
will host career fairs from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and March 29 at the WIN
Job Center in Madison. Available positions are posted on the ACS
website at as well as a way for people to apply.

multiple commercial clients, financial services institutions and the
state government. Combined, ACS and Xerox employ approximately 425
