Open house for new VA facility jobs set this week
About 450 positions need to be filled at the North East Consolidated Patient Account Center.
A major new local employer will hold an open house to help guide job applicants this week.When the new North East Consolidated Patient Account Center at the
Lebanon VA Medical Center is fully operational, it will employ about 450
people.An open house to showcase entry-level and career job opportunities at
the CPAC, scheduled to open in September, will be held at the Lebanon
Valley Expo Center from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Most of the 450 positions will carry salaries ranging from $31,000 to
$45,000. Jobs include accounting, accounting technicians, medical
billing technicians, education and training specialists, medical records
specialists and information technology specialists.
"The bulk of the hiring will begin in April/May and continue through
December," Shayne Sewell, public affairs officer for the CPAC Program
Management Office in Asheville, N.C., wrote in an email last week.The North East CPAC is one of seven regionally consolidated centers
"established to enhance revenue operations throughout the Veterans
Health Administration network by standardization and consolidation of
billing and collection activities," according to a news release.
Job interviews and receipt of applications and resumes will not occur at
the open house. Human resources and CPAC managers and staff will be on
hand to guide attendees on completing online applications and to answer
questions.Applicants must apply online at the website www.usajobs.gov.Benefits include federal employee health benefits, life insurance,
long-term-care insurance, Federal Employees Retirement System, annual
vacation leave, sick leave, federal holidays, child-care
subsidy/dependent care flexible spending account and health care
flexible spending account.
