Re: Disabled, but Looking for Work
"In a proposal for the Center for American Progress and the Brookings Institution’s Hamilton Project, Professor Duggan of the University of Maryland and Prof. David H. Autor, an economist at M.I.T.,
suggest that disabled workers be offered partial income support and
services to remain in the workplace."
"Moreover, they advocate for
employers to purchase mandatory disability insurance as they do
unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation, giving them incentive
to accommodate workers rather than send them to the federal benefit
rolls."

Re: Disabled, but Looking for Work
What is the definition of disabled? I have 1 good eye and cannot hear yet I am told I am not disabled? Well mentally I am not but its a heck of a time trying to get around let alone a job! About 10 grand will fix both problems, so I keep playing the lottery!
