Re: Eric Cantor: Debt Ceiling Vote Will Be 'Leverage Moment' For GOP Spending-Cut Demands
"Cantor said on "Fox News Sunday" that the House GOP was emboldened by the funding deal announced on Friday, in which the Obama White House and Senate Democrats agreed to roughly $38 billion in spending cuts. Lengthy negotiations over that deal nearly left the federal government unfunded and forced to shut down, but the stakes may be even higher for the debt ceiling, which must be raised to prevent the United States from defaulting on its loans".
You get that, the b@st@rds are emboldened!
Low and middle class, WAKE UP, the GOP is declaring war on you!
"The House GOP plan, which was unveiled by Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) last week, would cut taxes and make major entitlement changes. Many of the cuts in the Ryan proposal would weigh most heavily on low-income Americans and senior citizens, including the replacement of Medicare with a voucher-like program forcing seniors to use government money to pay for private health insurance".

If you're under 55, Ryan's plan means NO Medicare for you. You will be at the mercy of the greedy health insurance companies. Of course, once everyone under 55 sees no reason to support Medciare, it can be eliminated for the over 55s easily. The GOP is no longer being subtle in its all-out attack on the middle class and the poor.

Here's the GOP plot to extort Congress in order to kill Medicare: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/155079-cantor-medicare-may-be-tied-to-debt-limit-vote

I know that day-to-day survival confronts a great many people here, but this evil plan is going to create even more peril for us down the road. It spells disaster for everyone under 55. Ask anyone over 65 if they would like to trade Medicare for a limited sum voucher with which to try to purchase even rock-bottom coverage from profit motivated insurance companies.
Please contact your Senators and member of Congress demanding that they vote against eliminating Medicare. Of course, you may wish to also point out that the whole Ryan "Highway to Hell" is a good deal only for the super rich and for large corporations.
