Experience Works, Columbus, Georgia
The Georgia Labor Department has a program called "Experience Works" for ages 55 and older.
I am 53 in September and find there is nothing in place for the rest of us who are in our 50's here in Columbus, Georgia.
Any ideas?
I am temping with Westaff at the Lance Corporation bakery 11pm to 7am and my feet, lower back and falling asleep about 2am are my challenge right now. They are paying $7.50 and this is better than the zero I have had.
My boyfriend who is 57 has been working in retail since last year. It seems that retail and medical is the way to go for my area.
