Unemployment Claims Soar To 3-Month Highs In Latest Survey Week!!!
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-04-28/jobless-claims-in-u-s-unexpectedly-rise-to-three-month-high.htmlJobless Claims in U.S. Unexpectedly Rise to Three-Month High
By Bob Willis - Apr 28, 2011 8:30 AM ET
New applications for unemployment benefits in the U.S. unexpectedly rose last week to the highest level in three months, a sign the labor market will be slow to recover.
Jobless claims increased by 25,000 to 429,000 in the week ended April 23, the most since late January, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The government anticipates a drop in unadjusted applications during the Good Friday holiday week, something that didn’t happen this year, a Labor Department spokesman said.

I expect the number of new unemployed people to go up. The price of gas is going to hurt small businesses. I just wish they would come up with a new word for "unexpected".

Exactly.....I am so sick of hearing unexpectely.....I heard on the news this morning that they were saying that the unemployment rate decreased in most states.....I guess they were trying to spin the bad news in a positive way.....before this news was released.....Unbelievable.....I feel that the unemployment rate is going to keep increasing.....especially now with the gas prices and other prices increasing......businesses are going to start cutting back and laying off more people.....The economy is steadily going down the drane.....but they still want people to believe that the economy is heading in the right direction......

I just emailed abc nightly news, about the Republicans in the NC House not wanting to consider Extended Benefits for the 37000 now cut off from the federal benefits in North Carolina. The Dems all signed off on clean bill not connected to Bev Perdues budget. The Repubs do not want to even look at that. It's all or nothing for them. No one cares if the long term unemployed are desperate. I received response and am sending over all the facts that I have on this situation. Can't believe I am a registered Republican, never again.

I used to be also, changed that party affiliation several months ago. I can no longer be associated w/ them.
Also consider contacting MSNBC, (Ed Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, Rachel Maddow, and Chris Matthews) get these folks involved in going after the NC GOP. Keep us posted and good luck!

Exhausted benefits March 2010. Now on medicaid and going to local food banks, never would have believed it would come to this. Do not be fooled ,they are ALL for themselves. Neither party cares except to throw out phony bills once in awhile to try and draw votes their way. They want us to disappear and die. MSNBC is merely a mouthpiece for Obama. They want to talk about everything except how his policies have pulled us even further down the drain. Trump.Trump .Trump. Birth certificate, Palin, Tea party. BLAH.BLAH,BLAH ! Our country is sinking and they talk about this garbage every single day. JOURNALISM IS DEAD !

Please let them know to bring back Journalism and sign the petition:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/dump-trump/
To all the media giants: Huffington Post, NBC, FOX NEWS, CNN, CBS, ABC, The New York Times, The Daily Beast, The Blaze, etc.
Please refrain from feeding into Trump's obvious attempts at ratings, profits and power. Isn't it ridiculous that the presidential election can be manipulated in this way. Let's not let that happen. Instead, lets support a serious dialogue about national leadership and the important issues facing our nation. Dump Trump!
