Sure they won't say where the job loss will come from, but which plants cost them more to run??? Hello..... Where will they make the most profit.... Not in the US....

It is a Japanese company but it would be nice to know if the layoffs are occurring mostly in the USA. I guess that we'll have to keep our ears and eyes on alert.

17,000 - that's a lot of people. Hopefully, not too many in the USA.

China surpassed Japan as the economic leader. I believe that they are supposed to pass the USA in between 2012-2016 (depending on your source).

Once unrivalled, Japan's consumer electronic firms are facing increasing
competition from cheaper Korean and Chinese producers in particular.

The USA had better get its s**t together. We cannot continue to be the police of the world and expect to survive and have citizens that have a good quality of life.
