State Lawmakers Revisit Expired Unemployment Benefits
I'm glad there are some good news to share with you. Revisit isn't the word we want to hear but at least the lawmakers little brains are starting to focus on the importance of the unemployment benefits.

Re: State Lawmakers Revisit Expired Unemployment Benefits
Ignorance of the law is no defense in any court of law.....but apparently it's a defense for the state legislators of Tennessee. Did you folks see the remark by the senator who introduced the bill saying that it might be 'too late' to pass the EB bill before they all go home for the year?? If only someone had told them sooner.....but wait.....the fed govt DID tell the states--in writing--way back in December.

Finney said he didn't know if the legislation will be taken up by the assembly before it adjourns for the year this month.
"When we’re this late in the legislative session it’s difficult to
get bills heard, and some committees have already shut down for the
year," Finney said.
They darn well better make it a priority! What are people supposed to do while they are away?
