GOP Readies Bill (H.R. 1745) Allowing States To Use Unemployment Funding to Reduce Taxes
Where is H.R. 589 you ask? Sitting gathering dust, maybe used to wrap GOP's trash. Sorry to be so blunt. I find this funny that H.R. 1745 was written quickly and ready to be presented to the house by Rep. Camp. What happened to H.R. 589, who knows.

I said this on another forum! 1745 is discriminatory... Especially against the higher percentage of unemployed African Americans... And other people! Because their higher % of unemployment that means more of the African Americans would be cut off from benefits and this bill discriminates against that Higher % of unemployed!!!

Whatever happened to Obama's proposal to allow states to defer making interest payments on loans they took out from the fed govt??
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-02-08/obama-said-to-want-interest-rate-relief-for-state-unemployment-programs.html
I thought that sounded like a great idea.....
The Repubs (specifically Dave Camp) opposed the plan--

But they gave no logical reasons for their opposition to the plan.

"But they gave no logical reasons for their opposition to the plan"
Why would you think they would ever do anything but oppose a Democratic Idea...Party of NO!
If anything they are so unthinking and negative....congress should re-word anything that they want passed so that a No means Yes...take a quick vote and sneak it passed...
