SB 1565 - Increases Minimum Wage in IL to $10.03
I saw a posting about this Senate Bill last week and was surprised not too many people know about it. It was introduced in March 2011 by a Democratic Representative and is currently in the House with Co-sponsors added on up to vacation time April 2011. What we MUST do is to call our State Reps as soon as they return to Springfield because the way things are going in Washington it isn't clear whether the 99ers will be included in the President's current JOBS Plan and certainly will run into OPPOSITION from the Republicans & Tea Partiers. Here is information on SB 1565 and lets fight for its passage. http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocNum=1565 Also here's an article written about the Bill.
