INVITE TO LEARN ABOUT UNPRECEDENTED CUTS IN FEDERAL JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS
Register to audio Discussion led by the National Skills Coalition on Monday, February 28 at 1:00 pm ET for an overview and analysis of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 appropriations process— including the nearly $3.8 billion in workforce development and job training cuts proposed under the House passed Continuing Resolution (CR) and President Obama's Fiscal Year 2012 budget proposal for workforce programs. Numerous workforce programs face unprecedented cuts—including the complete elimination of WIA funding in Program Year 2011—and the debate in Washington is moving very quickly. The budget and appropriations process is quite complicated and can be confusing even for experienced policymakers. Make sure you understand how, exactly, Congress and the Administration are proposing to cut funding for job training programs in FY 2011 and 2012.
You may have to register on National Skills Coalition before being allowed to register to attend the audio presentation. Yes, with unemployment still at 9% our Government is slashing WORKFORCE DEVELOPMET AND JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS BY $3.8 BILLION!!!Here is the link
