My mother needs your help DAWU!!
My mother was informed earlier this month that her office and job will be closing by this July.
Mom has been looking feverishly. So today she gets this email in regards to a job interview. Here are the questions they have asked. She's nervous as hell right now!!! Mom asked me so I turn to my friends here. How would you answer these?
Thank you for sending in your resume. Couple of questions
1- Schedule - 8:30 am to 5:15 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Are you fine with
either schedule?
2- Are you willing to work on saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm?
3- What is your desired salary?
4- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
5- To get hired you will need to go through background check. Any records?
6- What poistion are you more interested in Admin Assist, Customer Service,
or PO/AP?
7- When are you available to start if hired?

Re: My mother needs your help DAWU!!
1. simple, Is she??
2. yes or no! her choice.
3rd OPEN for discussion
4th. Performing to the best of my abilities to help this company grow and prosper and succeed( if its a competing company.
5th. No Problem
6th. negotiable or specify
7th. Asap
She has to be a lock! Just be herself and honest and say it like it is! searching for the right words makes them feel like you are uncertain. So lay it our honestly. Be natural, thats what they are looking for!!!

Most of these questions will require your Mother do some thinking and figure out which schedule, time, etc. works best for her. Maybe she is flexible enough to say all of them are fine.
Regarding the salary, I was curious so I did a google:
If you have more than 3 years of related working experience, you can ask
for more but still falls within the 20-40% range. Not many companies
will give you anything more than that especially when you are not
proven. If the company is desperately looking for someone like you, then
you’re lucky. You might actually get an adjustment of more than 40%.

Regarding the position, that will tie in directly with the question of where does she see herself in the next 5 years. Which position offers the greatest opportunity for advancement?
Regarding hiring, is she willing to start this job now? I imagine that they will be unwilling to wait until July.
