What doesn't Gov. Dannel P. Malloy cut his salary and benefits in half? That's my stupid idea for the day.

This will be the wave of the future for many states. Gotta start raising some chickens so I can pay my doctor, local gas station, etc.

Re: CT Governor now announcing cuts!
Not only does he want to make those cuts but he wants to raise the sales tax, eliminate the sales tax exemption, raise the gas tax, charge taxes on haircuts and raise the cigarette tax. So much for the campaign promise of not raising the taxes.

Re: CT Governor now announcing cuts!
Well the announcement of the layoffs has begun. Possibly 6,500.

What bothers me most is the attention local news stations are giving to those ABOUT to be jobless. Where are the stories about those of us who have been out of work for years!

Of course a sales tax hits poor people harder than rich people....
