TEA PARTY: Heart and Soul of the Republican Party
TEA PARTY: Heart and Soul of the Republican Party
Here's a link to a Huffington Post article that breaks down the influence the Tea Party has on the Republican Party.
They are one and the same; in fact, the Tea Party is the Heart and Soul of the GOP. I don't think many people understand that. These extremists make up to 45% of the voting base in the Republican Party.
Tea Partiers are not some minor faction of the Republican Party as some people believe. People try to differentiate between the terms Tea Party and Republican.
They are the no-compromise Republicans. The ones that don't want to work across party lines. The same ones that want to shut our government down. Bachmann, Santorum, Paul et al - they are all extremists. They are united in their hatred of President Obama and blame him for everything that is wrong in our country.
