Pro-labor rally planned for Saturday in Davenport

"A coalition of groups is planning a pro-labor rally in Davenport on Saturday to protest attempts to cut back collective bargaining rights. In recent weeks, rallies in Madison, Wis., and Des Moines have stirred pro-union activists in Iowa to protest efforts in both states to change collective bargaining laws. In Wisconsin, a law to strip most bargaining rights from public workers has already gained approval. In Iowa, the Republican-controlled House passed a bill last week that would cut back on state workers’ bargaining rights. Senate Democrats have vowed to stop the measure."
