That's interesting about not reading the cover letter. Personally, that would be the first thing that I read before even looking at the resume. If I didn't like the cover letter, I probably won't like the resume either.

I thought that was interesting as well.....I thought the same thing as you.....that I would want to read the cover letter first.....before I even thought about reading the resume.....I don't like the 6 months issue.....So what are we suppose to do about that.....I have been out of work four times that amount ......

Do not give up hope I have not worked in 3 years. I am now working. I did not think it was ever going to happen.
Not the greatest job, but it might be.

Wow I am sorry did not mean to offend you, just questions I did not think anyone else would find interesting. Work was okay, tired and sore feet.

I think that most of us would like to know how things are going.

I would interview both - someone with the email kinkyboots just makes me curious!

I know people getting jobs who've been unemployed years so I'm hoping I am next. I am terrified having been unemployed three years and counting with no job in sight.

I am with you new_wave. It has been that long for me also. I just can't believe that this can go on much longer. I am exploring as many options as possible and I've started looking out-of-state. Just hoping that it doesn't come to that. But if it does and I can raise the funds to move, I will.

I am looking in other states but nothing either. I have decided that if I am still unemployed in the fall I'll go back to school but for what? The only jobs really hiring are the entry level terrible jobs like nursing assistant. I hate the idea of going back to school to wipe old people's butts.
