Geithner May Go
Tim--Is that a threat or a promise??
http://curiouscapitalist.blogs.time.com/2011/06/30/geithner-to-exit/
Mr. never-met-an-American-job-that-couldn't-be-outsourced Geithner shouldn't let the door hit him in the xxx. Doubtless there's a great job waiting for him in India where he used to live.
On the other hand.....sometimes the devil you know can be better than the next devil who takes his place.....the Wall Street names floated by the media to replace Geithner as Treasury Secretary seem way worse.
How unsurprising that the article mentions nothing about Geithner's active support for outsourcing & offshoring American jobs for the past umpteen years.
The article does point out that Obama's latest *Jobs Czar* Jeff Immelt (ha-ha) has done absolutely *zero* to help create more jobs for Americans (& the article fails to mention the huge number of US jobs that Immelt's company GE has sent overseas).
-----
Going out on a limb here.....far beyond suggesting Robert Reich or Paul Krugman who each would do a creditable job as TS.....during the Aug-Sept recess Geithner should quickly resign & Obama should appoint as TS.....Senator Bernie Sanders.
