Dear Their Name Here

I am writing you today on behalf of the
long term unemployed of America, the 99ers. While there are signs that
our economy is slowly beginning to recover, you have to realize that
this growth is just not coming soon enough or happening fast enough to
help millions that are losing everything. For this reason you must
bring H.R.589 out of committee and get it passed through both the House
and the Senate as soon as possible so that these individuals and their
families (families that include children) can survive until job growth
is more significant. You must also pass H.R.1113 to ensure that, as
jobs become more readily available, those hit the hardest by this
recession are not told they can not have the job they've been waiting
for simply because they have been unemployed long term.

Sincerely,

Your Name
An American Citizen
American 99ers Union

We need to keep pushing now more than ever (if that is possible) Here
is an email I received from Mike White (co-founder of American 99ers
Union) after I sent him the news about the Lee-Boehner meeting

I
sent Mike White (co-founder of American 99ers Union along with Gregg
Rosen) an email about the meeting between Lee & Boehner. Here is
his responce

Yup. Saw it. Good news...
BUT everyone now needs to go into high gear re-calling their Representatives and Boehner and Cantor, to push for this.

I
believe the real key, though, is can Lee get Democrats to give up
something, to make a deal with the devil (I mean, the Republicans)...
to get this passed??

I will say that Rep. Lee has proven
herself on this issue. For her to have gotten so many co-sponsors and
this meeting shows her commitment to it. Now it's just a matter of
whether enough Democrats are not willing to vote for it (I'm pretty
sure they are), but whether they are willing to wheel and deal - to
give something up to get this. IMHO. So when writing Congress one might
want to mention something like "Please make whatever deal necessary
with the Republicans to get this passed, because without it millions of
99ers are going to end up homeless!"
