A Washington Post/ABC News poll
published this week found that two-thirds of Americans want Medicare to
remain as is. That includes 62 percent of independents and nearly eight
in 10 people 65 and older — making for an uphill climb for House
Republicans trying to reassure constituents.
There are just some programs and services that are absolutely necessary for a country that cares about its citizens. Medicare is one.
Extending a helping hand to the unemployed and the 99ers until the economy recovers (for real) and jobs are created is another one. Jobs that provide a living wage and benefits. NOT the McDonald type jobs that are part-time with a non-living wage.
