Just t got off the phone with Barbara Lee's office. Staffer told me that there are now 69 co-sponsors - 2 more signed on. She didn't know who they were and Thomas Library of Congress isn't updated yet.

IMO slowly but surely unemployment and job creation will start to a main issue once again. Jesse Jackson Jr. gave such a passionate speech on the house floor yestesday, focusing on unemployed who have run out of benefits, who are going to run out of benefits soon and job creation. Rep. Conyers submitted a job creations bill
http://conyers.house.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=News.PressReleases&ContentRecord_id=788424eb-19b9-b4b1-129e-484cb600c11f

I believe that the strategy to get H.R. 589 passed is underway and we will be seeing more co-sponsors and more focus on unemployment and jobs. We are beginning to see Americans who are starting to see thru Republican hypocrisy, beginning with the protests in Wisconsin. Republicans are trying to back pedal to no avail. They are slowly drowning. Americans are crying for job creations and crying foul on the tax cuts, etc. for the very very wealthy. They are starting to see the light of day. We have to keep contacting them - and if your rep. signed on as co-sponsor, call them and request that they start working on their Republican colleagues to get them to co-sponsor. There HAS to be come Republican that have a heart.

Just don't give up the fight - Let's stand united - let our voice ring out loud and clear -

Representative Lipinski (D-IL) is still not on the list for co-sponsoring the bill. I am mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I submitted a letter to the neighbor paper Lipinski reads daily. I don't think he will like it, which I don't care. I had to do something.

Checked Thomas.org this morning - H.R.589 now has 79 cosponsors. I believe the newest cosponsor is Howard Berman, Democrat fromCa. Sure wish 1 Republican would jump on the bandwagon -not asking much - Just 1 to get the ball rolling.
