Can you find your state's metro areas??

PA has an economic divide--a few parts of PA are doing much better but other highly populated parts are still stuck over 7%, worse at 8% or higher, or even above 9%.

23. State College PA.....5.3%
45. Lebanon PA.....6.1%
59. Altoona PA.....6.4%
59. Lancaster PA.....6.4%
84. Harrisburg-Carlisle PA.....6.9%
84. Pittsburgh PA.....6.9%
116. Williamsport PA.....7.4%
116. York-Hanover PA.....7.4%
136. Erie PA.....7.7%
159. Reading PA.....7.9%
168. Johnstown PA.....8.0%
190. Allentown PA etc.....8.4%
190. Philadelphia PA etc.....8.4%
215. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre PA.....8.7%
239. Youngstown-Warren-Borden OH/PA.....9.1%

Nationally the official unemployment rate has been over 8% for 27 months. This has broken the nation's previous record. US unemployment hasn't been this high for so long since the early 1980s when the ue rate was over 8% for 26 months.
