In case anyone is interested. Walker testified in DC today about his budget. Below is a blog of the event with a link to the CSPAN video of the entire 3 hours.

Guess who's coming to Madison tomorrow just in time for the farmers market? Doesn't she count as an "outside interest"?

Sarah, baby, better stay out of WI because she will see some angry people. Tea baggers or not, people are sick of her.
Found this short article about Palin in Wisconsin. Labor supporters tried in vain to drown out Palin's speech. I am sure they were angry. She was lucky they didn't throw anything at her during the speech. This was a very stupid thing on her part.

EDIT: I think the counter protest is a waste of time that would be better spent working on the recall efforts. They only have until the beginning of May to get the rest of the signatures.

The WI Supreme Court election has been certified with Prosser as the winner with a lead of 7,316 votes.

Kloppenburg's office says that they are weighing the decision whether to ask for a recount & if they do so it will be by the deadline of April 20th.The board says Prosser's current lead is 0.488 percent, which would allow Kloppenburg to request a recount without having to pay a fee.

This is what's happening in MI because of their budget. Rumor has it they are going to try and pass something like this in WI.
Emergency manager cuts roles of Benton Harbor officials

Benton Harbor— In a move believed to be the first under sweeping new state legislation, Emergency Manager Joseph Harris suspended decision-making powers of city officials Friday.
Officials only can call meetings to order, adjourn them and approve minutes of meetings as part of the order issued Friday."

Cool! I'm just amazed that the state of MI can take away all decision making abilities from a town and nothing is really said about it. I also don't see how this is "small government".
"Emergency managers are in place at Detroit Public Schools and in the cities of Benton Harbor, Ecorse and Pontiac."

Palin booed by Wisconsin working class. I don't think she will be appointed dog catcher now.

I remember watching the tweets when this was happening. She really had to yell to be heard. What really struck me is 1. they played "Born in the USA". To me this shows they have no clue what the song is about and I bet the "boss" wouldn't be happy if they used it. 2. I was at the capital protesting a number of times and that was the first time I saw a jumbo tron.

Vandals break into WI office and steal petitions to recall dem. senator. All fingers are pointed at the union people (republicans call them thugs). Who else would do this? Maybe the republicans did it to stir up some trouble? Fingers are pointing, hope we find out soon.

They couldn't have gotten many signatures if this was truly a robbery because the recall papers for Hanson were taken to Madison last week.
