Firestone Celebrates Expansion Plans, New Jobs in Prescott

Building Products Co. on Monday celebrated the expansion of its
Prescott plant, which will add 100 new jobs to the more than 400
already there.The company announced the $20 million expansion in January.
The company said it would close its Kingstree, S.C., plant this year to
consolidate the production of its Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
roofing membrane to the Prescott plant.The company received incentives from the state of Arkansas, Nevada County and the city of Prescott to make the move. The
company plans to move production equipment from the Kingstree plant to
the Prescott plant in the first half of this year. The Kingstree plant
is expected to close in July.
