String Of BB Gun Shootings By Man 'Frustrated With Life,' Police Say
"When asked the reason for the spree, Ditterline told investigators that he was “out of work” and had “health issues,” that he was “frustrated with life,” and that shooting at cars was a kind of “stress relief,” Sgt. Mike Grennes of the VPD told the Chesterton Tribune today."

Sadly? I see it getting a lot worse than BB guns if things keep going the way they are. From crime to suicide, it'll all be on the rise. Around here there's been a marked increase in non-violent crime like small businesses being broken into and cars, small dollar stuff taken and probably by desperate people just trying to survive.

And here in WI the Republicans are working hard on passing concealed carry with no training or licensing required.

I mispoke, there are 2 concealed carry bills going through right now. It looks like one version has no licensing requirements and the other does.
"The bill with the licensing provision would allow residents who are at least 21 to apply to the state Department of Justice for a license that would be valid for five years. Applicants would have to pay a $13 background check fee and an application fee of up to $52.
Another snippet from the article:
"The group cited the lack of training provisions in the Mursau-Galloway bills. The chiefs also want the bill amended to allow a business or employers who want to specifically allow concealed carry to opt-in."
No training would be required for the person to obtain the license."
Another snippet from the article:
"This license bill offers some additional benefits, according to the NRA.
"These include the ability to use the license to carry a concealed weapon in many other states while traveling and the ability to carry concealed weapons in school zones (1000-foot area surrounding school grounds)," the NRA stated. "These zones are prolific and it is virtually impossible to navigate populated areas without entering them while engaging in routine activities." "

Re: String Of BB Gun Shootings By Man 'Frustrated With Life,' Police Say
The local "dollar store" has taken to having a security gaurd on duty by the door....
When I asked who would steal from a "dollar store" ?
I get the "you would be surprised" answer...
Seems people take a few things worth s few dollars and do so a few times at probably several stores making maybe 20 dollars tops...
Now this has always gone on around here, bur they never had to post a gaurd until lately...
I also read the police report in the paper and thats gotten a little stupider as well...
So when one of these small-time hoods get caught, the whole system has to take on the cost of prosecuting them etc..etc...
Fines never get paid they just clog up the courts untill a "contempt of court" violation is issued all this cost MONEY...
We as citizens minght end up paying $1,000 or more to cover the cost of a theft of $10.....You might say but thats the only ones that get caught, maybe so...
But then the Big-time crooks have Keys-to-the-city given to them and are often viewed as "model" citizens...
In my life I have known both types, the high rollers and the gutter dwellers...
I prefer the down-and-outters...I always felt If i invited the high rollers into the house they might steal "the silverware" or even the house itself. (ha!)
Its just not cost efective to go after nickle and dime crooks and then ignore the BIG ones...I suppose there is that thing thats called "moral hazard"...We cant just LET the crooks off....But the cost...Lets get some BIG ones....
Back to the topic.....Stupid petty crime has gone up arond here...that includes domestic violence as wellll (which is sad)
