Dems keep saying no to GOP Medicare cuts

Republican Senator McConnell, KY. says he will only raise the debt limit if changes are made to Medicare.
I wonder what folks in Kentucky think of that.

For a look at what seniors think about Ryan's VoucherCare, check out the Facebook site for the non-paartisan, non profit National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. The seniors there are furious.
If the Republicans thought that they could silence seniors by proposing to exempt them and only ruin Medicare for those currently under 55, I think they were very much mistaken. It seems that seniors are even angrier than those under 55. Today's seniors probably recognize that those over 55 will be next in line to be handed those wonderful vouchers.

I suspect *China* will have some choice words for Blowhard I mean Senator McConnell. Raising the debt limit has nothing to do with medicare, social security, gay marriage, abortion, gun rights, or any other precious little Republican talking points. Of course social security & medicare laws are in line for some minor tweaking.....but those are completely different topics from updating the national debt so that our nation doesn't default. If it's a war between China & McConnell then my bet is on China to win. He knows that.

If he sticks to this, this is not good!!!Republican Senator McConnell, KY. says he will only raise the debt limit if changes are made to Medicare.
Didn't I just say that Obama will sign a bill that destroys Medicare? Well, if McConnell sticks with this threat, it looks like it will happen.

I think that it's not just China. I would think that the leaders of most of the civilized world are shocked that Republicans are willing to risk catastrophe in the entire international financial system just so that they can further tear the already weak safety net in the US. I seems to me that the GOP has moved into Dr. Strangelove roles.
Doesn't everyone know that Social Security and Medicare have not contributed one penny to the national debt? Moreover, any minor tweaking that would keep them both solvent as far as the eye can see likewise won't contibute a penny to future debt.
