New Government Numbers Show 90 Percent of Newly-Created Jobs Go to Men
http://abcnews.go.com/US/unemployment-recession-men-return-work-women-left-economic/story?id=13185406
Women are lagging behind men in the nation's slow economic recovery, new government statistics show.
Of the 1.3 million jobs created in the last 12 months, some 90 percent have gone to men, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Women have gained just 149,000 jobs.
There's no question that the recession hit men particularly hard, with
jobs slashed from traditionally male-dominated sectors like
manufacturing and construction. Men have still lost more net jobs than
women have since the start of the recession in December 2007, with men
losing a net 4.9 million jobs, while women have lost 2.5 million jobs.
They're spewing this propaganda on the news again today. It's so few jobs that they are even talking about for a whole year that the numbers are basically meaningless. It seems to me that they are now trying to make women think that there are jobs out there and that they are just not getting them because they are women. It's more propaganda to make the masses think that there are jobs and also the divide and conquer tactic they always use but, this time it is to pit women against men. I think the bigger story of this should be that there were so few jobs created in the last year that it doesn't even come close to even covering new workforce entrants, let alone employ any of the 20 million unemployed.

There is so much propaganda going on to pit workers against each other. I hope that everyone can see past the propaganda and realize all workers are in it together.
