Re: Judge puts halt on implementation of bill limiting collective bargaining in Wisconsin
This is going to be an interesting case to follow. This just is only judging if the state open meetings laws were broken.
Another thing that caught my eye is that the bill was set to publish on March 25. Walker wanted it to be published sooner, maybe to get it on the books before his opposition could react.
The next date to watch will be March 28, unless the Republicans put this to a vote again, this time with the proper meeting notices.
Judge issues temporary order blocking collective bargaining law
"Sumi set a hearing on a longer-term order blocking the bill for March 28. That is expected to take much longer, with a number of witnesses expected to testify."

I read that too. It sounds like a temporary stall only to me based on them not giving 24 hour notice before passing the law. In the meantime, Walker has gone up in the polls considerably with consideration to him running for President next term. Somebody loves him.

I think it depends on who you are talking to. Some people think he's great and others think he is the worst. Walker's apparent popularity seems to be in whose poll you are looking at.
It almost sounds like a temporary stall, but remember there is a more thorough hearing on this law coming up on March 28.

Republicans like him.
Republican Voters Like Scott Walker More Than Top GOP Pres. Candidates
"In the poll, 55% of Republican voters said they have a favorable opinion of Walker, compared to 11% who had an unfavorable opinion of the first-term Governor"
"That's the same case with this latest national poll, with Walker unpopular overall -- among all respondents, 34% had a favorable opinion of Walker, while 39% had an unfavorable opinion -- but getting strong support from Republicans."

I've been watching it, as well and it's very interesting to say the least.
Here's an article linked to the twitter feed.
"La Follette had clearly grown unhappy with Assistant Attorneys General Steven Kilpatrick and Maria Lazar. Throughout the early portion of Tuesday's hearing, La Follette could be heard audibly commenting to Kilpatrick, who appeared to brush off questions that La Follette wanted to ask of Tuesday's first witness, Legislative Reference Bureau employee Michael Barman."
Testimony: Fitzgerald sought legal advice from DOJ prior to law's publication

I wonder what's up with this? I wonder what's going to be amended.
"Sumi: 15 min recess. DA has draft amended restraining order prepared, since not likely to conclude today."
