New Home Safe Georgia Program Provides Mortgage Assistance for Underemployed and Unemployed

The much anticipated foreclosure prevention initiative,
Home Safe Georgia formerly known as the
Hardest Hit Program was officially launched today by the Georgia
Department of Community Affairs.

The purpose of the program is to help
Georgia homeowners who have experienced job loss or a substantial
decrease in their income with a mortgage payment bridge while they find
new or better employment.

For additional information regarding eligibility please go to the www.HomeSafeGeorgia.com

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development Approved Housing Counseling Agencies are also a good
resource for foreclosure prevention assistance should you have questions
about this program or need additional assistance. You can contact a
HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency by calling 1(800) 569-4287 or
visit www.hud.gov/counseling to locate a HUD approved housing counselor
near you.
