Lockheed Martin opens Mississippi support center
Bethesda-based Lockheed Martin Corp. will open a new mission support center in Jackson, Miss., this fall, creating 350 jobs there.
The defense contractor will begin recruiting to fill the jobs next month, it says.
The new Jackson center will compliment Lockheed’s East Coast
technology hub in Rockville and its West Coast hub in Altadena, Calif.,
offering cloud computing and disaster recovery services.
The Jackson facility will be in addition to Lockheed’s other Mississippi operations in Biloxi, Stennis and Vicksburg.
Jobs in Jackson include both technical and customer service
positions. Lockheed (NYSE: LMT) plans to host job fairs in the Jackson
area starting in May.
