The WorkPlace has raised $400,000 from private donations to hire 75 CT Exhaustees to work in temporary internship positions. They hope to raise more $$ to hire more Exhaustees.
The WorkPlace, a nonprofit agency reports that there are about 9,100 residents of southwest Connecticut who have exhausted their unemployment benefits. The number is 48,000 in the whole state of Connecticut.
The WorkPlace has raised $400,000 from private donations to hire 75 CT Exhaustees to work in temporary internship positions. They hope to raise more $$ to hire more Exhaustees.
