Article is right on, I thought the last paragraph hit the nail on the head:
"Back in the late1930s, as our country was finally moving out of the Great Depression, President Roosevelt gave in to Republican pressure and cut spending to balance the budget. The result was a deep recession that we didn't really come out of until World War II.
Seventy years later, have we learned anything from that experience?"

Walmart sex disrimination case goes before Supreme Court--
http://www.guardian.co.uk/law/2011/mar/28/walmart-sex-discrimination-case-supreme-court
This is the *same* SCOTUS that voted 5-4 declaring 'corporations' to be 'human beings' & thus capable of being considered 'citizens' in the Citizens United decision.
What are the chances.....that these same 5 justices (all men) will vote to allow these women workers to have a class action suit.....don't have high hopes. The 5 who dominate the court right now are only interested in helping millionaires & billionaires.....even the wealthy outside the US. As far as average Americans are concerned.....the 5 want to see ordinary Americans enslaved, imprisoned, or dead.
