Florida House gearing up to cut state unemployment benefits
Florida House gearing up to cut state unemployment benefits
The Florida House is poised Thursday to sharply cut unemployment
compensation and make it tougher for jobless Floridians to qualify for
benefits, part of a Republican-backed strategy to help bolster
struggling businesses.

This does not effect me, of course, but it is not good news. This could easily spread across the USA

The Florida legislature wants the 6 week cut under the guise it will put money back into business that in turn will create jobs. Where have we seen this ruse before? Can you say the 10 plus years of tax cuts the fed's have had in place that didn't create any jobs, but put millions if not billions into the pockets of the richest of the rich. This bill will pass with ease. Now,when Florida goes after the blue hairs and their money, the shiznit will hit the fan. The slash and burn has just begun.

I'm beginning to think that all newly elected republican governors should be recalled.....what a disaster they are creating for the citizens in their respective states.
