Are you a 99er?
The Day is working on a story about the long-term unemployed, especially
those who have been out of work for the maximum 99 weeks or more, or
who are approaching that milestone. We want to find out what it's like
for people looking for work in today's economy when they have been out
of work for so long. Please email reporter Lee Howard at l.howard@theday.com, or call him directly at (860) 701-4356.

IThis might not be the correct place, but I don't want to start a New Topic and give out info that I don't quite understand myself, But does this story relate to people presently collecting? It mentions 3 years so that's why I am confused and I know it relates to New York.

This is very confusing. It appears that he has signed the Federal Extension, but then mentions Oregon

Re: Are you a 99er?
It just means that they have accepted the federal money for EB for the third year in a row. It's been for different unemployed people each year. That's the way I interpreted it.laramel wrote:kman wrote:IThis might not be the correct place, but I don't want to start a New Topic and give out info that I don't quite understand myself, But does this story relate to people presently collecting? I don't know for sure but, I'm just assuming that it is the only thing it could mean.kman wrote:Thanks, Jen, for making it more clear to me.
