Meeting re: HR589 is over-update from crew of 42!!

Getting reports that Crew of 42 member LaurenVictoria Burke has tweeted the meeting is taking place NOW!!

Crew of 42 web site posts meeting has taken place, no details.

Sounded positive to me, both Cantor and Boehner realize the urgency-that is a good sign.

I have to say one thing, no matter what the outcome? Barbara Lee and Bobby Scott are true fighters. They fight for the people who elected them. Capitol Hill needs more of the and the CBC.

The 1st video shows Cantor being asked how the meeting went, he does not respond. The 2nd video has Lee/Scott responding to questions.

This is probably why Cantor wouldn't comment. How would saying, 'Oh, we agree it's an emergency, we just haven't cared because we have our own selfish agenda to further' look on camera?

Will 589 come up for a vote now?

I wonder when we will read or hear more about the meeting? Very much interested to know if there will be some help coming from Washington other than silence. Tired of waiting.

No, I don't think so the way I heard it is that they understand the urgency of it but now it's a matter of wether to keep it as an emergency designation (which is what Barbara would like to do) or wether they need to look at changing things and making it where it gets paid for.
We'll know more once Arthur from the Huffington Post put his article up he is so good at sorting out everything & putting congressional language into regular speak, plus he'll probably be able to get more info then just that little video showed.

I watched the 2nd video. I have to say it is upsetting to me that the issue still seems to be whether this is going to be emergency spending or paygo.

Let go of the idea that this is going to be emergency spending in light of the current political envirement.....PLEASE

I believe it was the Huff Post that said there might be an issue with some of the Dems that they might not vote for it if they try to take a UI bill out of emergency spending and onto paygo... Just Pass the Damn Bill We Are Dying Out Here....

Even if they passed it today,here in ( FLORIDA ) it would be at the least 6 weeks before the money would be in peoples hands !
