Gearing up for Monday.
So, they come back to work on Monday. It's time to start fresh and push hard.
Email, phone calls, faxes, twitter, facebook, buzz, whatever avenue you're comfortable with, start putting the pressure on and keep it up.
Be brief and to the point. Long emails likely only get skimmed.
Be respectful, but forceful.
Don't beg and plead. This isn't something they should throw us because they feel sorry for us and feel we're beneath them like they would throw scraps to a stray dog. It's something we deserve from them as tax paying, voting, citizens of the United States of America. Be proud, remind them of who you were and who you still are and who you will be again.
Dear So'n'So,
As a member of the American 99ers Union, an American citizen, a tax payer, and a registered voter, I must respectfully insist that you do everything in your power to ensure the passage of H.R.589 without any further delay. It is clear that we as a Country, are not yet in a position to get America's longest-term unemployed back to work, thereby bringing stability to the American worker as well the economy. In conjunction with this important piece of legislation, I must also insist upon a more direct focus on creating jobs to ensure the future of the millions of long-term unemployed in our country.
Respectfully,

In addition continue to contact your own representatives, be them Democratic or Republican and insist they do everything in their power to get this bill to the floor and passed through the house.
Peace.

Re: Gearing up for Monday.
All ready for Monday - got my drafts ready to go for Monday morning!! Let's do this together!
My one year anniversary without unemployment benefits will be here shortly. Never thought I would be in this same position a year later - just like everyone else never had that thought either.
